By this course designer will understand the elements and principles and how these change for various textile media time to time. One will also have a good understanding of the processes, materials and products for which the textile designer is required to produce creative solutions. This course is best for designers wishing to improve their technological knowledge, technologists wishing to understand the design process, and anyone else who seeks to work at this design-technology interface and love creating the textile on their with their creative minds.

This course include basics of colour mixing, fine arts, embroidery, design software and illustration, art history, merchandising, printing, pattern making, weaving and knitting skills, digital design, dyeing, marketing, home furnishings, yarn craft, geometry, colour theory etc.The students are then able to manage responsibilities such as to apply designs on textile, paper and even ceramics, use software knowledge to make designs and illustrations for industry purposes, make traditional designs for textiles and garments, market research of upcoming and existing trends and dealing with suppliers, consulting industries and companies to use best fabric and design according to their requirements.
